In 1980, the Players Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass changed the face,
and the game, of golf forever. Players found themselves navigating
fairways designed by Pete Dye with mystifying angles, and small greens
that still command the utmost precision.
It was at TPC
Sawgrass that the island green was born, an innovation that can haunt
